Michael is an expert in relationship-based consultative sales methods,sales coaching, and sales performance leadership.  He has delivered customized sales training and development programs to product and service sales representatives and managers in Europe, Asia, India, Australia, South America, and across the United States.  

Michael is an internationally certified professional facilitator (IAF-CPF) and earned an MA in Education with a strong focus on instructional design and learning systems. He has been certified in many high performance sales methods including Smarter Selling (IOWEU), Consultative Sales, Solution Selling, Sales Mastery, Sales Coaching, Sales Performance Leadership, and more.

Michael has adapted consultative sales learning and performance systems for many different industries including energy, financial services, medical and dental supply, telecommunications, high tech (software, electronic design automation, digital reproduction, etc.), entertainment, healthcare, travel and visitor services, environmental technologies, export businesses, specialized large investment-oriented philanthropies, membership associations, and regional economic and workforce development organizations.  Effectively linking sales skills to organizational strategy has helped to differentiate Michael’s training and consulting work from traditional “off the shelf” approaches to training and development.

As a skilled facilitator, Bill specializes in working with teams tasked with particularly complex projects. Recent assignments include leading a portion of a groundbreaking project to restate the client’s financials for the prior 5 years, as well as facilitating a team out of a stalemate they had reached after 5 months of missed deadlines.

In addition to IOWEU™, Bill is also certified by Senn-Delaney as a Culture Change Facilitator and Master Coach; by Kepner-Tregoe as a Problem-Solving/Decision Making Facilitator; by Karass in Effective Negotiations and by the American Supplier Institute as a Statistical Process Control Instructor.

Bill’s combination of excellent presentation skills, strong analytical talents and rich field experience has made him a highly sought-after facilitator and consultant. Bill thrives on work that calls upon his high energy, creativity, and passion for continuous improvement. Outside of his professional pursuits, Bill has used those same qualities to complete an Ironman distance triathlon competition, build and race stock cars, and volunteer his drumming talents with his church’s contemporary music band.
